Consciousness Mapping

Consciousness Mapping
Lavida Rose

As a child, I remember wondering if the world I saw and experienced, was the same world that other people saw and experienced. I’ve come to know, it both is and it isn’t. The variables that can be identified within that ‘zone’ are a measure of the creative potential that exists in this world. At some point along inception into this life experience we start generating a consciousness that can be identified as our ‘own’. For descriptive purposes, it is the consciousness that is the attractive force, predominantly present, around us. What you experience and re-experience IS ‘your’ consciousness. It is not ALL of consciousness. It is the consciousness that you have come to know and identify with. And for that purpose, I will assign it with ownership. It helps with the explanation.  Our consciousness, which is individual to us, is built on what we are exposed to and how we respond to that exposure. From there we establish and pattern neural networks which path out a consciousness, which is personal to us. There is no shame in what we were exposed to nor in how we responded. They are bequests of pure sense-making logic. The reality you live in is based on the consciousness that you have cultivated as a result of the before mentioned factors. It is powerfully embedded and deeply ingrained, yet it is not a fixed state. It is however, a default – your default, your home base. The number of variables that can counter play this default are endless. Your consciousness is, as unique to you as your fingerprint. Whilst also simultaneously bearing the common features necessary to qualify it. I.e. to be defined as a fingerprint. That is why generic applications we commonly see in society have some efficacy but mostly miss the congruence with your natural genius-genesis. If you are common enough, you will fit and be relatively comfortable – if not, you will-likely experience pain (in its many forms) due to the consequential experience of separation. Each of your experiences and culminating interactions create a map, plotted out as sequences of paths crossing, merging and diverging.  These maps are gorgeously complex but can be functionally simplified, focused and organized. I also refer to this as your consciousness backdrop, it is the scene that sets the ‘seeing’ and the cyclic-programmed experiences that you more-than-likely, define as ‘your life’. Your consciousness map reveals how and why things happen the way they do for you and what you need to adjust to quantify a new outcome.  The art and science of mapping involves both calculation and observation of interactive phenomena. In society, ‘statistics’ are a very apt measure of collective consciousness; they are also a great example of how consciousness mapping can be observed.  Your map as-it-is {right now} is your art, and it IS spectacular – it is a melody and montage of all your doing and being BUT maybe when you stand back and look at it, you’ve realized you weren’t really holding the brush or strumming that note and NOW, you’d like to see and experience what it would be, if you did! Your art is endlessly evolving –

Consciousness mapping is an integral part of facilitating creative consciousness, and can be found in both greater and lesser degrees in all the workshops, courses and mentoring applications.
